18th annual Engineering Forum hosted by QatarEnergy LNG showcased innovations that improve operational efficiency, state-of-the-art research and technology

Over 1,200 people, including representatives from academic institutions and oil and gas corporations, attended the 18th annual Engineering Forum, which was organised by QatarEnergy LNG and held on September 27, 2023, at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). With sessions on optimisation and best practises, integrity, reliability, and process safety, and innovation, technology, and sustainability, the event gave professionals in the field a place to share information and ideas on several important areas. 21 chosen presentations and 19 technical posters were produced from the 194 abstracts that were submitted for review.

Additional interesting events during the 18th QatarEnergy LNG Engineering Forum included booths and a panel discussion. "QatarEnergy LNG's Strategy for major projects and production sustainability" was the topic of the panel discussion, which included Nafez Bseiso, Chief Major Projects Officer, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Thani, Chief Engineering & Projects Officer, and Haytham Abdulaziz Al Meer, Chief Subsurface Officer. The panellists offered their perspectives on the company's long-term goals and tactics in this area. Mehsin Al-Qadi, the business manager for engineering and projects, moderated the panel discussion.

Through their booths, Qatar University and the strategic suppliers of QatarEnergy LNG actively engaged, showcasing innovations that can improve operational efficiency and showcasing state-of-the-art research and technology relevant to the oil and gas industry.

Chief Subsurface Officer of QatarEnergy LNG Haytham Abdulaziz Al Meer gave a speech to wrap off the event, thanking the platform for allowing engineers to share ideas and best practises. He emphasised the value of sharing information and urged everyone to use what they had learned to improve company operations.
