NewsThe Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) hosted the opening of the 20th Project Qatar today, the largest and most prestigious trade show in Qatar focused on building supplies, machinery, and technology, by HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari. HE Al Kuwari visited several of the pavilions, which featured significant exhibitors from the government and semi-government sectors as well as prominent domestic and foreign businesses. The products that were on display were briefed to His Excellency.
According to IFP-Qatar, the exhibition organizer, the four-day event features 130 Qatari enterprises in addition to 120 international companies from 25 other countries. The exhibition was praised by the company as a significant occasion for building materials and construction in Qatar, as well as a dynamic venue for building companies to showcase the newest technologies, share expertise, form strategic alliances, and investigate the newest trends through dialogue with prominent figures in the sector, all while advancing the development of Qatar's construction sector.
In light of the shift in global focus towards green and smart manufacturing, this edition focuses on emerging sectors. The exhibition and accompanying conference will highlight sustainable building materials, low-carbon concrete, sustainable wood, energy-efficient insulation, energy solutions, renewable energy systems, and smart building technologies.
As part of the Qatar National Vision 2030, the event will also showcase the country's industrial sector to a global audience for the second year running in a special display area called "Industries of Qatar." The objective of this area is to highlight the goods produced locally.
It will also highlight the tremendous strides the State of Qatar has made in recent years to develop the local industry sector by showcasing smart manufacturing technologies through the dedicated exhibition space, which is home to several suppliers of cutting-edge technologies with a variety of applications in industrial production.
The most significant topics impacting the building, construction, industrial, sustainability, and environmental sectors will be discussed at the related conference.
