27th edition of the AFC Annual Awards; the latest AFC Player of the Year and AFC Women’s Player of the Year will be revealed

The 27th AFC Annual Awards, which will be hosted in the renowned Al Mayassa Theatre at the Qatar National Convention Centre and sponsored by the AFC's Global Partner NEOM, will announce the most recent AFC Player of the Year and AFC Women's Player of the Year. The six players fighting for the coveted Player of the Year honours are leading the pack: Samantha Kerr, Zhang Linyan, and Saki Kumagai for the AFC Women's Player of the Year, and Mathew Leckie, Almoez Ali, and Salem Al Dawsari for the AFC Player of the Year.

The glamorous ceremony, one of the most prominent events on the AFC calendar, will present a total of eighteen awards. The AFC Member Association of the Year and the AFC President's Recognition Award for Grassroots Football have had their categories reorganised, and the AFC Regional Association of the Year award has been instituted.
