A spectacular opening ceremony preceded the opening game of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023TM between Team Qatar (Al Annabi) and Team Lebanon.
In the 45th minute of play against Team Lebanon, Akram Afif of Al Annabi scored the game's opening goal. Team Qatar was ahead 1-0 over their counterparts from Lebanon at the end of the first half.
Almoez Ali of Al Annabi scored the second goal in the second half in the 56th minute. In the 90+6' minute, Akram Afif of the Qatar national team scored the third goal against Team Lebanon.
Team Lebanon was defeated by Al Annabi, 3-0, at the end of the match.
