Al khor hospital

Opened in 2005, Al Khor Hospital is a 115-bed general hospital and one of Hamad Medical Corporation’s community hospitals delivering high quality specialized care to the population living outside of Doha.

Al Khor Hospital is committed to providing these high quality healthcare services to its diverse and growing community in the northern region of Qatar by integrating medical care, education and research. Since opening, Al Khor Hospital has been recognized for its pioneering achievements in the healthcare service and received Joint Commission International accreditation in 2006 and was re-accredited in 2009, 2012 and 2016.

The hospital hosts an Antenatal and Postnatal Exercise Center, which is unique to HMC, as well as a Breastfeeding Resource Center – an important step in Al Khor Hospital’s endeavor to attain recognition by the World Health Organization as a baby-friendly hospital.

The hospital also has new offices of Home Healthcare Services to provide homecare administrative support to patients and families from Al Khor and the surrounding region. The offices serve as a base from which the Home Healthcare teams conduct their home visits.
