An awareness campaign "Family is The Treasure of a Nation" to be held on the International Year of the Family

Under the theme "Family is The Treasure of a Nation," the Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) will begin an awareness campaign on Monday in honour of the International Year of the Family.

As part of an endeavour to promote virtue, the awareness campaign takes place throughout the Back-to-School season and consists of a variety of activities meant to improve family togetherness and compassion. Together with MSDF, this campaign will include several significant and involved parties, such as the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), and the Family Consulting Centre (Wifaq). These parties will work together to organise workshops to increase public awareness of the value of fostering compassion and family cohesion.

The program, which is directed at parents and schoolchildren, aims to strengthen family unity, improve national bodies' cooperation in promoting complementary roles, and reaffirm some values—most notably compassion, which has a good influence on the family and the society.

At an introductory meeting, school principals and students will be briefed on the campaign's goals, the need to develop compassion in kids, and the value of compassion, especially among family members. Along with these topics, the conference will cover the value of the family, the necessity of maintaining family unity, the reinforcement of moral and religious principles, and the encouragement of a humane method of handling family problems.

The "Family is The Treasure of a Nation." campaign is being launched at the same time as Qatar is getting ready to host an international conference celebrating the International Year of the Family for the thirty-first year. The conference will take place from October 29 to October 31, with a focus on the family and significant modern trends.
