The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs, through the Department of Mosques, has inaugurated a new mosque in the Al Rashida area, covering an area of 7,694 sq m. The mosque is designed to accommodate 300 male and female worshippers, as stated in an official announcement by Awqaf.
This opening is part of Awqaf's broader strategy to increase the number of mosques across the country, in line with the urban and population growth, and is aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The mosque, identified as number MS M.S. 661, features a main prayer hall that can host 300 worshippers. Additionally, it includes a spacious ablution area, ample public parking spaces, several of which are reserved for people with disabilities.
