NewsHE Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, the Minister of Justice and State for Cabinet Affairs of Qatar, released a circular outlining the Ramadan working hours for ministries, public organisations, and institutions. According to the circular, government officials' official working hours would be five hours a day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the holy month of Ramadan. It also said that if workers finish the required five working hours and meet all job standards, they may be allowed to arrive late, but no later than 10 a.m.
During the holy month, a remote work system will be put into place, permitting a maximum of 30% of the workforce to complete their job from a distance. Qatari mothers and those with disabilities should be given priority in a way that does not interfere with their need to do their jobs.
The circular went on to say that official working hours and dates for the health and education sectors will be determined by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, respectively, within their respective jurisdictions, based on the nature of the task.
