Media City Qatar announced that as part of its larger plan to strengthen its regional and worldwide content production capabilities, CNN is establishing a new operation in the State of Qatar, thereby increasing its presence in the Middle East.
The second half of 2025 will see the launch of the new CNN operation situated in Media City Qatar, a prominent hub for international media and technology enterprises that encourages innovation and collaboration in Qatar's dynamic media scene.
CNN content producers will produce a creative weekly show for CNN International and publish on digital and social media platforms.
This expansion gives CNN more resources in the Gulf and Middle East at a time when the region is at the forefront of the world news agenda, from breaking news and geopolitical coverage to business, technology, sports, culture, and travel topics. Additionally, CNN will train Qatari students and young professionals in journalism and production.
