Doha Film Institute invites Qatar residents to get involved and contribute to 11th Ajyal Film Festival

The Doha Film Institute (DFI) is inviting Qatar residents to get involved and contribute to one of the region's major cultural events, the 11th Ajyal Film Festival, which will take place from November 8 to 16, and will bring the entire community together to celebrate the transformative power of film. The Ajyal Volunteer Programme, a unique demonstration of the DFI's community spirit, provides the country's residents an opportunity to gain firsthand experiences and interactions in the vibrant growing film industry, working across diverse aspects of the festival while strengthening personal and professional skills.

Volunteers will learn about the inner workings of a major cultural event, get significant industry experience, and be recognised with an appreciation certificate. From October 5 onwards, interested applicants aged 18 and above can register on the DFI website. There are only 300 open places.

Volunteers will be on hand throughout the Ajyal Film Festival to support various Festival activities and assist with crucial areas of the festival's operations such as venue operations, Ajyal Jury, transportation, guest services and registration, Geekdom, etc. The festival will feature the greatest in world movies, a multimedia exhibition, exciting music, Qatar's largest pop-culture event 'Geekdom,' and more.
