FIFA President Gianni Infantino promised football fans that World Cup Qatar 2022 will be unique

Fans all over the world will have a unique experience with Qatar 2022, promises FIFA President Gianni Infantino. He compared the experience to that of a child going to Disneyland for the first time.

This was shared when he was addressing a press conference in Costa Rica on Sunday, August 28, 2022, where he inaugurated a training field at the facilities of the Costa Rican Football Federation. He was in the Central American country for the U-20 Women's World Cup finals between Spain and Japan.  

Praising the organisers of the World Cup in Qatar, he added, "The organizers are doing their best. I have great confidence in the success of the tournament, which will be a unique experience for fans." 

Infantino said that two million fans will attend the tournament, adding "it will be a comprehensive and dazzling celebration, and unlike other World Cups, it will be as if a child goes to Disney land for the first time." 

On changing the date of the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador to November 20, he said that it was a decision that came out of respect for the history of the World Cup.
