General Directorate of Traffic announced the 13th electronic auction for special vehicle number plates

The General Directorate of Traffic announced the opening of the 13th electronic auction for special vehicle number plates through the Metrash2 app. The auction that begins today will continue until Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 8am to 10pm. 

Ministry of Interior stated this on its social media adding that the special number plates will be split into two separate categories with different insurance amount for each category.

While the first group insurance will be worth 10,000 Qatari riyals, the second group will have 5,000 Qatari riyals. The department added that in case there is high bidding in the last quarter-hour, the time will be extended for another quarter-hour for that number only. The process will continue until the final quarter-hour of the last auction. It also clarified that these special number plates available for the auction will not have the Qatar 2022 World Cup logo.
