Hamad Medical Corporation is set to host a series of conferences and events in September

In September, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will hold a number of conferences and events with the goal of improving patient care and developing healthcare delivery. These prestigious gatherings of top specialists and practitioners will promote cooperation and the exchange of state-of-the-art information. 

The "Best of ASCO 2024 in Qatar" event on September 6 and 7 is scheduled to include a discussion on cancer services in Qatar. It covers the full patient journey from early to advanced stages and includes both common and uncommon malignancies.

ASCO, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, has its annual conference, which is a significant event for cancer research. It's the place where novel findings, therapies, and developments in cancer care are discussed.

September 30th will see the First Breastfeeding Symposium in Qatar, which will be in line with the institutional objectives established by HMC's Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. 

Improving breastfeeding habits in communities and healthcare institutions will be the main topic of this conference.

Preparing indicators unique to Qatar and educating the HMC technical team on data collection and processing will be the main goals of a workshop on the WHO Rehabilitation Data System (RDS) in Qatar.

September is "Pain Awareness Month." On September 23 and 25, the HMC will educate patients about pain treatment alternatives and raise awareness of chronic pain.

On September 11, the HMC will mark Coeliac Awareness Day. It will raise awareness of coeliac disease, a condition brought on by the body's immune system reacting to gluten consumption. In addition to providing tools and assistance to individuals who have already received a diagnosis, the event will highlight the significance of diagnosis. 

September 25 is Pharmacist Day, and the HMC is hosting activities to showcase how chemists enhance healthcare. They will impart their wisdom and experience and guide proper medication administration.
