HH The Amir attended the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games on Friday

HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was present at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games Opening Ceremony on Friday night in Paris' Trocadero Square. 

HH the Amir also saw the Qatari team and other sporting delegations heading to the 2024 Paris Games cross the Seine River by boat. The 14-person Qatari squad will compete in five different sports: swimming, weightlifting, volleyball, shooting, and athletics.

Attending the reception were a number of state heads as well as delegates from friendly and fraternal nations' Olympic organisations.
