As one of the busiest airports for foreign travelers in 2024, Hamad world Airport (HIA) has continued to hold its significant place globally, as per Airports Council International (ACI) World.
By supporting the common interests of airports and the communities around them, as well as by encouraging the highest standards in airport management and operations, ACI World plays a critical role in improving the safety, security, and sustainability of the global aviation industry.
In 2024, 52,714,976 international travelers boarded and disembarked in Doha, up 14.8% from 2023 and 35.9% from 2019, according to an organization report, placing the award-winning airport in the top ten worldwide.
According to the ACI preview, with 2,616,849 metric tons of cargo loaded and unloaded in 2024, HIA achieved an impressive ranking of ninth among the busiest cargo airports worldwide. The number is an 18.1% rise over 2019 and an 11.1% increase over 2023.
