Hamad International Airport (HIA) expects an increase in inbound passenger volume between January 2 and 5, 2025.
The airport has issued important suggestions to help arriving passengers navigate Hamad International Airport. To avoid damage, keep fragile things in the center of hard-shell case bags. QR codes and Flight Information Display Systems are available to assist with navigation in the baggage claim area. Oversized or irregularly shaped checked-in baggage, such as wheelchairs and infant seats, will arrive separately at belts A and B.
It is important to maintain bag tags until you exit the baggage reclaim area, and to double-check the bag tags before collecting things.
The airport has offered several options to provide for pick-ups: Curbside instructions: To avoid congestion, security issues, and potential towing, do not leave automobiles alone on the terminal's curbside. The short-term vehicle park is recommended for extended drop-off intervals.
Extended stay Parking with Special prices: The airport offers special discounted prices for long-term stays at the short-term car park, which can only be booked in advance and may be found on the website's parking page.
Bus and taxi pavilion: Located on either side of the arrival hall, passengers can hire authorized taxis from the taxi pavilion, which has rigorous performance criteria and a comprehensive lost and found policy. Pre-booking cabs is easy using the 'Karwa Taxi' app, ensuring a pleasant travel to the city. These taxis will park on the outer lane of the arrival curbside.
Beginning January 1, 2025, the Doha Metro will operate from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays and Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 1 a. For more information on connections, visit www.qr.com.qa.
