Katara opened the “Recycling to Create a Sustainable Culture” exhibition on the occasion of World Environment Day

NewsOn the occasion of World Environment Day (WED), the "Recycling to Create a Sustainable Culture" exhibition was launched at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). The two-day event at Katara's Building 18, combines engineering and environmental elements to highlight the significance of protecting the environment and repurposing construction waste materials for home and garden décor.
One of the events Katara and the Qatar Society of Engineers arranged in honour of WED is the exhibition titled "Recycling to Create a Sustainable Culture," which aims to promote a sustainable culture.
Among these activities are kid-friendly art classes in Building 19, which comprise a cardboard drawing recycling workshop and a plastic container plant pot workshop.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be an intellectual symposium at Building 15, on the importance of culture and heritage in raising environmental consciousness. Drs Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, Saif Al Hajri, and Dhabya Abdullah Al Sulaiti will speak at the symposium.
At the "Recycling to Create a Sustainable Culture" event, Abu Bakr Al Hassan will also be launching a book about Qatar's environmental situation.
