Lusail City stated this on its official Instagram page that the main route of Lusail Boulevard will be closed to traffic, from Wednesday, October 11, until the weekend of October 14. The closure was announced as part of the preparations for the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS). It also published a map showing which routes will be closed and which will remain available to traffic.
As part of the GIMS Qatar 2023, the historic Lusail Boulevard will be transformed into an urban playground from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on October 12 and 14. This features the 'Parade of Excellence,' in which viewers will be able to watch up to 100 different model vehicles travel along the Boulevard.
"Parade of Excellence, spectacular action, entertainment, live performances all around, and a buzzing village area; there will be something for everyone at the Urban Hub. Let the party begin!" GIMS stated on their website.
