Al-Naimi is a self-taught artist and architect who mixes her love of sculpting, painting, and 3D digital modelling with her architectural training from Qatar University.

The Qatari artist created the enormous sculpture "Awan," which is presently on display at Fire Station's "A House Overlooking the World" exhibition, stated, "My message is clear: use the time in your hands to pursue your goals."

With dimensions of 165 cm in height, 222 cm in width, and 145 cm in depth, "Awan" is acknowledged as the biggest handcrafted sculpture in Qatar and leaves a profound effect on everyone who views it.

The meaning of "Awan," which means "time" in Arabic, is an exploration of the transient aspect of existence. The hourglass design used in the artwork represents the passing of time. As per the artist, the hourglass in a horizontal orientation symbolises the universal test of life and serves as a reminder to each of us that we have a choice on how best to spend our time. The sculpture's curves depict the many stages of life: rising curves stand for happiness and security, while falling curves indicate difficulties. The seamless transitions between the two curve types represent the equilibrium we aim for in life as we move between those stages, the speaker said.
