Military authorities in Qatar announced the start of the work of the Unified Permanent Committee for Selection of Candidates for Military Officers

NewsThe work of the Unified Permanent Committee for the Selection of Candidates for Military Officers has begun, as announced by the Ministry of Defence in coordination with all military authorities in Qatar. The committee will be overseen and monitored by its head, Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit, the Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces Staff.
Admission will be available for individuals desiring to join the different military authorities in the nation commencing on January 18, 2024, for high school graduates exclusively for the current year (2023–2024), according to the head of the committee and Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces Staff.
He pointed out that in order to compete for a position and be given consideration to join one of the military authorities in Qatar, they must submit their applications on the committee's website in compliance with the terms and conditions.
He clarified that the goal of consolidating the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Interior, Qatar State Security, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and the Amiri Guard under one roof is to streamline operations and lessen the load on applicants.
