Ministry of Labour announced a ban on outdoor working in open spaces from June 1 onwards

NewsThe Ministry of Labor declared that working in open spaces throughout the day will no longer be permitted in order to safeguard employees from the risks of heat stress in the summer. It declared that working outside between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will be prohibited from June 1, 2024, to September 15, 2024.
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 17 of 2021, which addresses the essential safety measures to shield employees from the risks of heat stress in the summer, the ban is being enforced.
Workers who perform work in shaded areas without proper ventilation or in open outdoor workspaces during the morning hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. are prohibited by the decision from returning to their work in these areas during the evening hours.
