Ministry of Labour participated in the 112th International Labour Conference in Geneva with a high-level delegation

Together with other labor ministries, delegation heads, and delegates from ILO member states who are employers and workers, Minister of Labor H E Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri attended the 112th International Labour Conference in Geneva.

The Ministry of Labour's high-level delegation's attendance at the International Labour Conference is indicative of its dedication to interacting with global organizations and sharing perspectives on issues pertaining to the global labor sector.

The focus of the ILO Director-General's report on social justice goals for two consecutive years was emphasized by H E Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri during his speech on behalf of the GCC countries. He also emphasized the importance of the new social contract and tripartite representation in enhancing the social dialogue process and assessing the commitment of employers, workers, and governments. 

He emphasized the ILO's accomplishments in resolving labor-related issues via a cooperative approach that takes into account the many interests among its constituents, saying that the organization, which has been around for more than a century, should be assessed based on its impact on social justice.

Al Marri highlighted the efforts of the GCC countries in contracting, wage, and social protection through cutting-edge technology, inventive programs, and efficient processes to provide safe labor migration paths with fair employment, decent work, and good governance. 

The Minister expressed gratitude to the ILO for organizing the International Labour Conference and fostering dialogue between businesses, employees, and governments.
