The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has said that on Sunday, registration will start for the twofold promotion programme, which enables students to advance to the next grade after passing specific exams. On June 30, 2024, the twofold promotion system service known as "Tasaro" will be made available through the MoEHE's "Maarif" Public Services Portal.
According to certain requirements and criteria, the system will enable students of all nationalities enrolled in public schools and private schools that adhere to national standards to apply for the second round of exams in the same year and advance to upper grade.
In order to qualify for the twofold promotion system of 2023–24, day school beneficiaries must pass the first test round with an average of 85 percent or higher, while adult and home education students must pass with an average of 75 percent or higher. After clearing the tests, the students who passed the second batch of adult education will take the third batch's exams in order to advance to grade 7.
In order to advance to grade 8, students who completed the third batch of adult education must pass the grade 7 examinations. In order to advance to grade 6, pupils who completed grade 4 coursework must pass grade 5 examinations. In order to advance to grade 7, students who completed grade 5 exams must pass grade 6 examinations. In order to advance to grade 8, students who completed grade 6 coursework must pass grade 7 examinations. To advance to grade 9, students who completed their grade 7 coursework must pass their grade 8 examinations. In order to advance to grade 10, students who completed grade 8 coursework must pass grade 9 examinations. In order to advance to grade 11, students who completed grade 9 coursework must pass grade 10 examinations.
