NewsPhase two of the comprehensive educational survey has begun, with the School Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) requesting feedback from parents, teachers, and students in all public and private schools as well as kindergartens in Qatar for the academic year 2023–2024.
The survey's second phase aims to reach 159,243 male and female students who are enrolled in public and private schools in grades 6 through 12. It asks for their thoughts on a variety of school-related issues, including general school happiness, the application of the behaviour management policy, students' sense of security there, and their thoughts on academic subjects.
With 26,854 instructors in public and private schools and 1,502 kindergarten teachers, it also targets all teachers in kindergartens and public and private schools. Teachers are asked about their number of teaching hours each week as well as their professional experience. It also asks how satisfied you are with the quality of instruction and how many hours you have spent on professional development.
Moreover, it evaluates professional development and training programmes and activities, as well as how much of them are applied to projects that support national identity and educational ideals.
The purpose of the evaluation is to find out how satisfied parents are with the calibre of pedagogical and educational services offered. It covers a wide range of topics, including curriculum, teacher competency, assignments and assessments, communication with the school, and the school's role in fostering educational ideals and national identity.
Parents' cell phones received an SMS with a link to the online survey. The brief questionnaire took the responders around five minutes to finish. On the ministry's website, they may also take part in the survey by using the link provided by the public services platform.
The programme is part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to boost the standard of educational services and enhance the quality of education. The survey's findings represent societal attitudes and goals towards education in Qatar. The ministry declared that it will closely examine the findings and endeavour to create and continuously enhance the teaching methodology. Because the poll will have a significant impact on how education is delivered in the future and how well schools and families collaborate, the ministry invited parents, teachers, and students to take part.
