The Minister of Transport, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Thani, has announced the launch of the new Turquoise line on the Lusail Tram network, a significant extension of the city's public transportation infrastructure. This development is part of the Ministry's overall strategy to create an integrated, efficient public transportation system that includes cutting-edge technology and environmentally friendly practices.
The Turquoise Line opens with the Lusail QNB interchange station, which now operates alongside Legtaifiya station.
The following Turquoise Line stations have begun operations: Lusail QNB, Al Yasmeen, Fox Hills - South, Downtown Lusail, Al Khayl Street, Fox Hills - North, Crescent Park - North, Rawdat Lusail, Erkiyah, and Lusail Stadium. The Grand Masjed station will be operating at a later date, with an announcement coming soon.
Throughout the busy days, the Turquoise Line will provide residents and tourists to Lusail local with dependable, quick access to a variety of essential local locations.
Lusail's tram network has 19 kilometers of routes, providing economical and environmentally friendly transportation to 25 stops throughout four line systems: pink, orange, purple, and turquoise. The tram network is open every day from 5 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on weekdays, except for Fridays from 2 p.m.
The metropass deal was originally valid until December 31, 2024, but it has been extended for an additional four months, giving residents and public transportation users the option of switching to a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective form of transportation.
The 30-Day deal is available for unlimited rides for 30 consecutive calendar days beginning the day you initially touch your card at the gate.
