Nvidia signs agreement with Ooredoo; AI technology to be used at Ooredoo's data centres in five Middle Eastern countries

In a historic deal, Nvidia will employ its artificial intelligence technology in Ooredoo's data centers in five Middle Eastern nations: Qatar, Algeria, Tunisia, Oman, and Kuwait. Ooredoo is a major telecommunications operator in Qatar. Ooredoo will use NVIDIA's cutting-edge accelerated computing technology as an official NVIDIA Cloud Partner to help spark an AI revolution in the area. 

Taking advantage of the considerable market need for hyperconnectivity and accelerated computing throughout its MENA region, Ooredoo will create an AI-ready platform supported by NVIDIA's full-stack innovation in systems, software, and services. This platform will be an invaluable tool for governments, enabling businesses and startups to safely handle their confidential datasets and generating insightful tokens that drive innovations for its users.

With this deal, Nvidia enters a market where Washington has restricted the export of advanced US processors for the first time. The limits were put in place to stop Chinese companies from gaining access to emerging AI technologies by utilizing them as a backdoor.

In order to serve the area, Ooredoo intends to install hundreds of NVIDIA Tensor Core GPUs in its AI data centers. This will allow users to take advantage of a cutting-edge AI platform with sophisticated hardware, software, and tools.
