Ooredoo Qatar announced a strategic cooperation with Qatar Airways and Cisco set to redefine the aviation industry’s digital landscape

The top telecom provider in the country, Ooredoo Qatar, has announced a strategic alliance with Cisco and Qatar Airways. Through the implementation of a cutting-edge hybrid cloud environment, this partnership will help to redefine the digital landscape of the aviation sector. The flagship project sets the stage for the introduction of cutting-edge apps that will improve customer satisfaction and revitalize business performance for the celebrated airline. 

The Ooredoo network is the backbone of this endeavor, providing a strong platform for the assimilation of Cisco's cutting-edge networking, security, and cloud technologies to update Qatar Airways' IT system.

Ooredoo, a Managed Services Partner and Cisco Gold Integrator, will collaborate with the airline to design a customized hybrid cloud architecture and move its data center to the cloud in order to improve operational scalability, agility, and efficiency.

The project will incorporate many Cisco technologies, such as the multi-site Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) from Cisco. This will be linked with the complete suite of Cisco's Nexus dashboard solutions to enable applications assurance and operational visibility throughout the data centers of Qatar Airways.

Cisco Infrastructure will automate and provide as code for all of its data center solutions. The Cisco SD-WAN solution will assist in enabling smooth and secure access from all branch sites and data centers to the public and private cloud, further automating and transforming cloud connectivity.
