The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has issued a request to owners and possessors of dangerous animals and creatures to register them on the Ministry's website by April 22, 2025, in order to avoid the penalties outlined in Law No. (10) of 2019 Regulating Possession of Dangerous Animals and Creatures.
Lions, tigers, certain dog breeds, monkeys, and other species mentioned in the table that is linked to Law No. (10) of 2019 Regulating Possession of Dangerous Animals and Creatures are among the dangerous animals and creatures. The ministry stated that the Request for Inventory of Dangerous creatures and Creatures service, which is accessible via the ministry's website or email at DPmecc.gov.qa, can be used to register these creatures.
The ministry cautioned that failure to register is a breach of the law, which carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison, a maximum fine of QR100,000, or both.
