PHCC is taking proactive measures to raise awareness about the rights of its staff

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) is taking proactive steps to educate its employees about their rights. The PHCC seeks to build a supportive culture that cherishes the well-being and contributions of its devoted healthcare personnel by emphasising the significance of upholding these rights. The PHCC's lobbying activities convey a strong message to the public, pushing them to acknowledge and respect the rights of healthcare professionals who play an important role in the nation's health and well-being.

The PHCC's social media handles' campaign "A Safe and Healthy Work Environment, a Fundamental Right" aims to raise public awareness about the importance of sticking to appointment schedules, being patient during wait times, and understanding and accepting healthcare workers' decisions. PHCC has emphasised the significance of arranging appointments using the Nar'aakom application or by phoning the 107 hotline before visiting health centres in a new video release titled "Caring for Those Who Care." The film emphasises the need of providing the appointment confirmation to the center's personnel upon arrival, and it encourages people to be patient while waiting their turn.

The movie also underlines the need of respecting healthcare providers' decisions to prioritise patients depending on their medical status. The PHCC emphasises that the welfare of sick patients must come first, and it encourages all patients to work with healthcare professionals to ensure an efficient and equitable medical care system. Furthermore, the PHCC has urged patients to recognise and respect physician judgements on the issue of medical leaves. Recognising medical practitioners' knowledge and their assessments of patients' problems is critical for a holistic healthcare strategy.

The film acts as a public service message to promote a better healthcare experience for both patients and doctors. It attempts to raise public awareness about the need of keeping appointments, being patient during wait periods, and understanding and accepting healthcare staff' decisions. By fostering these fundamental practises, PHCC hopes to improve patients' overall healthcare experiences and maintain a smooth and well-organized system. It is critical in providing efficient and high-quality healthcare services since it is based on the collaborative efforts of patients and healthcare staff.

A statement from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) is also included in the video. According to the statement, "Our employees and healthcare providers are doing their utmost to provide the best possible healthcare services to patients and their families based on the ethics and principles of the healthcare profession derived from Islamic Sharia and Qatari laws."In exchange, we want our patients and visitors to respect and appreciate healthcare personnel and abstain from physical or verbal abuse of them in order to avoid legal ramifications." It also states that if the public has any comment on the services given, they may contact the PHCC by dialling 16000 or 107 or by using the PHCC's official social media pages. The public can also contact the MoPH's Government health communications centre by dialling 16000 or 44070000.
