In an effort to strengthen the safety culture throughout all of its business operations, Qatar Airways Group inaugurated its annual safety and security awareness event yesterday.
The event, which has as its theme "It Begins With You and Continues With Me," was introduced earlier yesterday at The Plaza Doha by Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Group CEO of Qatar Airways.
The event is supported by several divisions, subsidiaries, and businesses of the Qatar Airways Group, including Qatar Aviation Services, Qatar Aircraft Catering Company, Qatar Duty Free, Discover Qatar, Hamad International Airport, and Oryx International School. It is being held in cooperation with several partners from throughout Qatar, including the Ministry of Interior, Mowasalat (Karwa), and Hamad Medical Corporation.
The exhibition booths at the event were open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 12 and will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on January 13 and 14.
In addition to staff quizzes, live demonstrations, and games, the event features team competitions, recognition awards, and team contests.
