Qatar Digital Identity app allows access to digital copies of documents and certificates

NewsLaunched in 2024, the smart app known as Qatar Digital Identity (QDI) enables citizens and residents to use the Ministry of Interior's electronic services and obtain digital copies of their documents and certifications.
A user's passport, ID card, national address, driver's license, establishment registration card, and firearm permit card are all accessible through the application, which functions as a digital wallet.
The E-Gates at the nation's border streamline the entry and exit procedures, which is one of its main advantages.
In a video posted on the Ministry's social media accounts, it was explained that residents and citizens can now utilize QDI to enter and exit the Hamad International Airport easily via the E-Gate.
The steps to be followed are:
1. Download and log in to the Qatar Digital Identity Application.
2. Locate the appropriate Travel Document Card by swiping through the cards.
3. To confirm face recognition, tap the emblem at the top of the card.
4. To provide a smooth travel experience for passengers, bring your phone close to the scanner at the gate to verify your identity.
A digital wallet, electronic signature, document verification, access to digitally signed certificates, identity verification, biometric data activation and login, and the Ministry of Interior's electronic services website are among the additional features and services offered by the Qatar Digital Identity app.
