Qatar Duty Free won awards for Airport Retailer of the Year, Best New Shop Opening for Timevallee, and Outstanding Contribution for Senior Vice President

Qatar Duty Free (QDF), the owner and operator of all retail and catering outlets at Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha, won three awards at the 2023 Frontier Awards in Cannes, France, on October 4, 2023: Airport Retailer of the Year, Best New Shop Opening for Timevallee, and Outstanding Contribution for Senior Vice President Thabet Musleh. A panel of travel retail industry judges chose the winners.

The most coveted award was Airport Retailer of the Year, which QDF received for the first time. The assessors praised QDF's exceptional ambition and proficiency in implementation over the previous year. Qatar Duty Free (QDF), with over 200 retail and dining establishments, is providing a fresh airport experience while revolutionising airport shopping and dining for a new generation of passengers. Since its inception in 2000 with less than 50 people, QDF has expanded to over 4,000 employees representing 62 nationalities.

Qatar Duty Free has been voted the 'World's Leading Airport Duty Free Operator 2022' and 'the Middle East's Leading Airport Duty Free Operator 2022' at the World Travel Awards. QDF was also named "Best Customer Experience Airport Retailer" at the Global Brands Magazine Awards in 2022, and it just received an unprecedented 12 titles at the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) + Hospitality Awards 2023, including Airport Food & Beverage Offer of the Year.
