Qatar Museums announced a range of new activities and workshops for this February

A variety of brand-new events and seminars catering to all age groups will be held in February, according to Qatar Museums (QM). QM welcomes locals and guests to attend and enjoy the realm of art, culture, and legacy across several locations.

On February 19 at the Museum of Islamic Art Auditorium, the Qatar Museums Department of Heritage and Archaeology will present a lecture by Dr. Stephen A. Murphy, the Pratapaditya Pal Senior Lecturer in Curating and Museology of Asian Art at SOAS, University of London, as part of the Qatar-Indonesia Year of Culture 2023.

The Qatar Preparatory School (QPS), which is situated at the junction of Salwa Road and B-Ring Road, will host a Mudbrick Making Workshop on February 18, 21, 25, and 28.

The Bicycle: the Future of Mobility, an exhibition organised by the Qatar Auto Museum in collaboration with Expo 2023 Doha, debuted recently and will be on display in the Cultural Zone - Al Bidda Park until March 16.

Throughout February, the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) will be hosting a number of events, such as storytelling sessions and tours, one of which will focus on the history of sports in relation to the AFC Asian Cup.

The NMoQ AI Center's "Imagining The Future of Mobility" workshop is scheduled for February 5 and 19; the "Qatar's Contribution to Sports" guided tour is scheduled for February 5 and 12; the weekly "Journey Around Qatar" guided tour runs from Sunday to Wednesday; and the tour is open to kindergarten and school kids from Saturday to Wednesday.

This tour is a new addition to NMoQ's regular programming, encouraging schoolchildren in Kindergarten through Grade 12 as well as members of educational institutions and universities to explore the museum and discover more about the history, legacy, and culture of Qatar. Arabic, English, French, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish, and German are the languages in which the tour is offered. Make a reservation via schoolsnmoq@qm.org.qa.

Art Workshop: The Big Win: Storytelling Session on February 3; Discovery Programmes Trace and Track every Sunday through Wednesday.

February will see several events at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), including the storytelling session and monthly family day, as well as an illustration and ceramic workshop.

Family Day - Fashioning an Empire on February 3; Pinch Pottery Workshop on February 3; Introduction to Gemstone and Jewellery Illustration from February 4 to 6; and Isfahan Abayas & Caftans Fashion Show on February 12.

Fire Station: In February, two art workshops will be held by Artists in Residence.  Procreate and characters: on February 16–17, Mohammed Al Emadi will teach character design; on February 24, Hiyam Rabie will teach Under the Sea - Art and Crafts. A talk on Qatar's athletic past will be presented by Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar. On February 11 at the Fire Station Cinema, Wagdy Gamal's Series Lecture: Five Decades of Sports in Qatar will take place.
