Our museums and gallery spaces are at the center of Doha’s thriving cultural landscape. From traditional Islamic craft and historical objects to modern and contemporary art, our diverse network has a vast amount to offer.
Located next to the Museum of Islamic Art, QM Gallery ALRIWAQ is a temporary exhibition space hosting ambitious exhibition projects, featuring international contemporary artists such as Takashi Murakami and Damien Hirst. Qatar Museums brings together museums, public art, and cultural heritage in Qatar, in an effort to expand creative horizons. The QM Gallery ALRIWAQ is one of the premier contemporary art spaces in Doha, contributing to the vibrant cultural landscape of Qatar. Please note that special operating hours will be in effect at our museums, galleries, shops, restaurants and cafés during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
An intimate venue for public art projects, QM Gallery Katara is located within Katara Cultural Village, which houses theatres, concert halls, and restaurants. The QM Gallery provides a platform for Qatar’s museums to present their collections. To foster a personal connection with audiences, the gallery hosts artists whose work centres around human themes. These include Yan Pei Ming’s portraits of famous Arabs and Brigitte Lacombe’s examination of female athletes in the Arab world.
