The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) is preparing to celebrate its 15th anniversary in style with a number of concerts that promise to wow spectators with a wide range of musical genres. The extraordinary ability and diversity of the orchestra will be on display during this three-day music festival on October 26–28."Mozart: A Musical Sitcom," a family-friendly concert, opens the festival. QPO's Cinemoon Ensemble and special guests will present this one-of-a-kind musical experience that will transport the audience to the 18th century complete with period-appropriate costumes and historical personalities from Mozart's era. Despite being geared towards kids, this event is sure to delight adults who have always loved silly comedy and beautiful music.

"Mozart: A Musical Sitcom" had a hugely successful debut in 2019 and captivated audiences of all ages. The reintroduction of the concert thrilled Merve Kenet Bulun, the founder and artistic director of Cinemoon Ensemble, who said, "I am happy that it will come back again on the 26th of October as part of QPO's 15th anniversary as this was a big highlight for the ensemble."

"Music from the Baroque Courts" is the title of the performance that takes place on October 27 as part of the festival. Music by well-known European Baroque composers including Bach, Händel, Lully, and Corelli will be performed during this performance.

The Qatar Concert Choir, oboist German Diaz Blanco, bassoonist Daniel Hrinda, and QPO's Doha Baroque Ensemble will all contribute to making the performance a success. Christoph Teichner's mesmerising harpsichord playing will enhance the mood of this musical excursion. The brilliance of Middle Eastern composers will also be on display that evening during the "Music from the Middle East" performance.

Composers Marcel Khalifé from Lebanon, Dr. Nasser Sahim, the deputy executive director of QPO, symphonic musician Dana Al Fardan, composer Wael Binali, violinist Maias Alyamani, and composer Hamed Al Naama are among the artists whose works will be included on the show. Samir Nasr Eddine, an oudist, will join the orchestra conducted by Andreas Weiser, guaranteeing an unforgettable evening honouring the rich musical legacy of the Middle East.

Three riveting concerts are scheduled for October 28, the last day of the festival.

"Pearls of the Philharmonic" highlights soloists from different orchestral sections, showcasing the extraordinary talent within the QPO. A variety of solo pieces by composers such as Ravel, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, and others will be performed during this evening. Elias Grandy, a German conductor, will guide the Philharmonic on this remarkable musical voyage.

"Film Music" aims to transport viewers back in time to beloved movie music from franchises like Mission Impossible, Harry Potter, Aladdin, and Star Wars. The orchestra will be led by renowned German conductor Andreas Weiser as they recreate the thrill and enchantment of these well-loved soundtracks.

"QPO on Tour," which will grandly close the festival, will include musical selections from nations the orchestra has previously visited, such as Syria, England, the USA, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, and China. An incredible musical journey is guaranteed when the orchestra is joined by the Qatar Concert Choir and Elias Grandy, who will be conducting once more.
