Qatar University (QU) has performed admirably in recent years, appearing on worldwide rating lists with the world's best institutions. QU has earned another significant feather to its crown when it was ranked 173rd in the QS World University Rankings 2024, an increase of 35 rankings (208) from the previous year.
This year, the QS World Rankings added three new indicators: sustainability, job opportunities, and international research network. As a result, getting into the top-200 for the first time was a remarkable achievement that demonstrated QU's sustained development in all areas. QU has earned another significant feather to its crown when it was ranked 173rd in the QS World University Rankings 2024, an increase of 35 rankings (208) from the previous year.
The curricula at QU also made an impression in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023. In sports science, theology, divinity, and religion, the Qatari university was ranked top in the Arab area. They came in third place in the following categories: law and legal studies, environmental sciences, accounting and finance, and social sciences and management.
The milestone came after Times Higher Education announced that QU was ranked 28th in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia Rankings 2023, up 18 places from 2022 and into the top-30 institutions in Asia. On the same ranking agency's Young Universities list, they were ranked 24th worldwide and first in the MENA area.
QU also maintains excellent relationships with the public and commercial sectors, which has resulted in a number of memorandums of understanding and cooperation partnerships that benefit the institution immensely.
