QOC announced the lineup of 14 athletes highlighting Qatar's robust participation in the 33rd edition of the Paris 2024 Olympics

News EventWith 14 competitors, both male and female, representing the country in a wide range of sports, Qatar is expected to leave a lasting mark in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. This roster was revealed by the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) at a press conference, highlighting Qatar's active involvement in the 33rd Games, which are set to take place from July 26 to August 11.
At the announcement were Mohammed Saeed Al Misnad, the director of the Qatari administrative delegation, and Mohammed Issa Al Fadala, the director of the QOC Sports Affairs Department. Al Fadala emphasised Qatar's joy and honour in participating, pointing to the Olympics' unmatched grandeur and stature.
Al Fadala stressed that the QOC has given every federation complete assistance, both before and after they qualified for the Games.
Mohammed Saeed Al Misnad provided a breakdown of Qatar's participation in the following five federations: swimming, weightlifting, volleyball, shooting, and athletics. Prominent names like Saeed Abu Sharab and Rashid Saleh Al Adhuba in shooting; Fares Ibrahim Husouna in weightlifting; Sherif Younis and Ahmed Tejan in beach volleyball; and Abdulaziz Al Obaidly in swimming are among the impressive roster. Abderrahman Samba, Abubaker Haydar, Bassem Humeida, Ismail Dawood, Ammar Ismail, Saif Mohammed, and Shahad Mohammed are among the athletes.
