
The Ministry of Municipality has introduced six new electronic services aimed at streamlining processes for ship owners and fishermen as part of its overall digital transformation strategy. Fishing licenses for ships and boats, fish transport licenses, fishermen's licenses, fishing equipment permits, and port parking lot and warehouse rentals are among the services offered.
The Ministry of Municipality's website offers the new electronic services. The services are intended to facilitate the online application process, save beneficiaries' time and effort, and introduce fair and transparent procedures.
The Ministry of Municipality's Information Systems Department, in collaboration with the Fish Affairs Department, has developed new electronic services that demonstrate the Ministry's dedication to fulfilling Qatar National Vision 2030.
Out of the 400 services being built under its digital transformation project, the ministry has finished more than 100 of them in an effort to offer the public and beneficiary enterprises intelligent and automated services.
Urban development, food security, agriculture, general services, and community services are all included in the digital services. The digital transformation initiative started in 2023 and comprises the ministry's website, Oun app, and smart city technologies. The Ministry of Municipality is improving its services by re-engineering them with AI and other contemporary technology and modernizing the processes to make them more user-friendly.
