This year's Muharram full moon will be larger and brighter than usual, as it will look considerably larger and brighter.
Astronomers at the Qatar Calendar House (QCH) predict that the moon, because of its closeness to Earth, will look more massive this year, at least 14% bigger and 30% brighter.
The moon will appear larger than normal since it will be around 357,300 kilometres distant from the centre of the earth. While the moon will rise over Qatar's sky at 6.26 p.m. on Tuesday, the sun will rise at 5.01 a.m. on Wednesday.
