The 75 competing teams will meet at the Old Doha Port tomorrow, May 2, at 10 a.m., and embark on a journey to Al Bandar in Sealine for the 10th Senyar Festival. The organising committee stated that because more teams are competing, they anticipate a strong edition this year. In addition, the committee keeps checking to make sure the teams comply with all requirements, such as following system operations and taking safety procedures, in order to minimize any dangers throughout the competition.
The committee emphasized how crucial it is for all directors to follow the guidelines and instructions provided by the festival administration. It also stated that severe legal penalties will be applied should participating teams fail to follow the guidelines; in such a case, the team's results will be canceled and it will be eliminated from the competition.
Notably, the festival management has awarded the winning teams with hefty prizes: the competition's first place winner will earn QR1 million, second place will receive QR500,000, and third place will receive QR300,000.
First place will receive QR50,000, second place will receive QR30,000, and third place will receive QR20,000 for the largest fish prize.
The Senyar Festival is scheduled to end on May 4. The organising committee decided to delay it to May 2 due to heavy gusts and unfavorable weather conditions.
