The Tasweer Photo Festival Qatar, the country's leading biennial photographic event, began its 2025 edition yesterday thanks to Qatar Museums. The festival's main installation, As I Lay Between Two Seas at the Fire Station: Artist in Residence, will serve as the focal point for eight exhibitions spread over five venues this year that will explore themes of belonging.
The displays were unveiled by H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the chairperson of Qatar Museums, with the participation of Sheikh Hassan bin Mohamed bin Ali Al Thani, the president of Mathaf, and Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi, the CEO of Qatar Museums, among other dignitaries.
