The implementation of the Ministry of Interior's decree to half the penalty for traffic violations will be commencing from June 1, 2024.
The Ministry of Interior announced on May 22, 2024, that it was implementing new regulations and procedures for automobiles with departure permits and traffic rule offenders leaving the nation. As part of these changes, there would be a 50% discount on traffic infraction fines from June 1 to August 31.
Residents, tourists, and citizens of the GCC are all entitled to a 50% reduction on traffic infraction charges. Violations reported within a time frame of no more than three years will be eligible for the discount. The Ministry is taking this action to promote paying traffic infraction penalties as soon as possible.
