Arab Design Now exhibition at Msheireb's M7 gallery features the creations of more than 74 designers MENA region

The Arab Design Now exhibition, which takes place at Msheireb's M7 gallery from February 24 to August 5, 2024, features the creations of more than 74 designers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area. It offers an enthralling blend of contemporary innovation and traditional craftsmanship.

The first level and entry are devoted to pieces that highlight conventional techniques, with pieces gradually adding modern machinery.

Visitors may see the progression of Arab designs and the ways artists are retaining their cultural roots while adjusting to modern technologies thanks to this arrangement.

Visitors are welcomed with "Sites – New Sites, 2023," an artwork made in Qatar by Bahrain-based Studio Anne Holtrop. Visitors can twist and bend the cast resin pieces to create new combinations of landscapes that don't exist in reality, making for a thought-provoking and entertaining experience. The pieces are placed atop remnants of natural and artificial landscapes in Qatar.

There are so many spectacular works on display to keep visitors spellbound like Brickbooks by Mohammad Sharaf, Sculptural Console by Hamza Kadiri, Egyptian sculptures.

The Arab Design Now Exhibition is a potent illustration of both the inventiveness of modern designers and the lasting legacy of Arab workmanship.

The exhibition encourages the preservation of ancient traditions in the modern world by displaying the blending of traditional methods and new techniques, guaranteeing the rich cultural heritage of the Arab world will continue to thrive for years to come.
