Arabian Gulf region will be affected by a heavy heatwave over the weekend as per QMD

As to the most recent weather report from the Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD), a strong heatwave is expected to impact the Arabian Gulf region this weekend. The heatwave which is the result of India's seasonal low deepening, will be most noticeable on Friday in the State of Qatar.

According to the weather agency, temperatures are predicted to climb and reach "late 40s degree Celsius" when the wind shifts from south-westerly to north-westerly.

In order to reduce the risk brought on by rising temperatures, QMD urged residents of Qatar to exercise caution, particularly during the day, and to stay away from any outside activities.
