NewsAfter being upgraded and turned into an expressway, Public Works Authority "Ashghal" announces the opening of Street 33 in Industrial Area. This will allow traffic to move smoothly from East Street 33 Interchange and Industrial Area Road to West Industrial Street. The street is 5 km long.
In order to handle 16,000 vehicles per hour, Street 33's lanes have been expanded from three to four in all directions. In addition, two new two-level interchanges were built in place of the current roundabouts to link Street 33 with Al Kassarat Street and West Industrial Street.
Street 33 is merged with Industrial Area Road in order to connect with traffic traveling from Doha towards the Industrial Area. This includes a number of important roads and streets, including East Industrial Street, Al Kassarat Street, and West Industrial Street, which make it easier to access Salwa Road and G-Ring Road. Because Street 33 has a direct connection to several important local streets, including Al Karajat Street, Al Manajer Street, Al Banaa Street, and Al Taqa Street, it will significantly increase traffic flow between the Industrial Area and New Industrial Area from the north and south.
Street 33 Interchange with Al Kassarat Street
The new junction serves numerous essential commercial and industrial facilities in the area, especially as Al Kassarat Street connects Street 1 and Street 52 and runs from the north to the south of the Industrial Area. It is a significant route for people traveling from Doha towards Al Kassarat Street.
Street 33 Interchange with West Industrial Street
The new interchange is regarded as a crucial link that serves numerous essential commercial and industrial facilities in the area, especially since West Industrial Street runs between Salwa Road and G-Ring Road. It is accessible from Doha via Street 33, from Bu Sidra Interchange on Salwa Road, or from Bu Silla Interchange on G-Ring Road toward the Industrial Area. Along with connecting Salwa Road at the Al Sailiyya intersection and F Ring Road at the Al Bahiya interchange, the new interchange will help ease traffic flow in that direction.
Improvements were made to the sewage and rainwater drainage systems, as well as the construction of new water, electricity, and telecommunications infrastructure and water lines for irrigation of green spaces.
