Discover Qatar announces launch of “Discover Doha by Air”, promising an extraordinary fusion of adventure, thrill-seeking, and exploration

Discover Qatar, the destination management firm for Qatar Airways, has announced the opening of its first-ever air tour, Discover Doha by air. With the unmatched luxury and convenience of a light aircraft, the tour gives discriminating travelers the chance to discover breathtaking landscapes and renowned locations.

Discover Doha by Air offers an amazing blend of adventure, thrill-seeking, and exploration. It is designed to satisfy the demands of the everyday explorer seeking personalized adventures, according to a news release from Qatar Airways.

The Cessna 208 Caravan is a single-engine light turboprop utility aircraft with large windows that make it perfect for aerial viewing. Each air tour is meticulously planned and equipped to comfortably fit eight guests in its air-conditioned cabin. 

After taking off from Doha International Airport Premium Terminal, the aircraft will fly over Education City, Aspire Zone, and Al Thumama Stadium for 45 minutes before heading towards Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, and Thakira Mangrove Forest. There will be more flybys over West Bay, Katara Cultural Village, Al Safliya Island, and Pearl Island. In preparation for a spectacular landing, the aircraft will fly over the Corniche, the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, and Stadium 974 before arriving at the airport. 

Bookings are currently open at discoverqatar.qa/air for the first tour, which is set for Thursday, June 27, 2024. The cost is QAR 710 for adults and children over two, and free for those under two.

For a starting price of QAR 850, passengers transiting for six hours or more at Hamad International Airport can also enjoy the experience, which includes private roundtrip transports between Hamad International Airport and the Premium Terminal of Doha International Airport.
