Doha Debates Ambassador Program; Young people in Qatar and across the globe are invited to apply

The fifth cohort of the Doha Debates Ambassador Programme is now accepting applications from young people in Qatar and throughout the world. The programme trains young leaders in intercultural dialogue, global issue solving, and the construction of a just and healthy future. 

Doha Debates, a virtual 12-week programme offered by Qatar Foundation, mixes narrative, majlis-style conversation, consensus building, and systems thinking to assist ambassadors in investigating, debating, and coming up with solutions for the global issues that are most meaningful to them.

Ambassadors will participate in weekly seminars led by systems-thinking expert Jennifer Geist, facilitation expert Dr. Brandon Ferderer, and other international guest speakers from September 3 to November 27, 2024. 

Through the "The Negotiators" podcast from Doha Debates, ambassadors will learn how to lead and take part in conversations on challenging international issues. They will also pick up an important lesson from the previous cohort: appreciating and comprehending their fellow ambassadors' various perspectives and life narratives.

The event is organised in association with Shared Studios, a mission-driven organisation that leverages cutting-edge technology to foster relationships and facilitate global collaboration.

Fluent English speakers between the ages of 18 and 26 who regularly have access to a computer with internet connectivity for video conferences are eligible to apply for the Doha Debates Ambassador Programme. Upon completing the short "Introduction to the Majlis" course and logging into Doha Debates' online community, prospective candidates will be directed to apply at https://dohadebates.com/IntroMajlis.
