Fee for Qatar Post's home delivery of HMC and PHCC medications will revert to QR30 from Jan 1
31 Dec 2022
NewsThe fee for Qatar Post's home delivery of HMC and PHCC medications will revert to QR30 effective January 1, 2023. The home delivery service also includes medical reports, medical consumables, and dietary products, according to the announcement on social media platforms yesterday, December 29.
Qatar Post, in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), reduced the home delivery charges for medication and other medical items in September this year and specified that the reduced fee will be in place only until the end of the year.
The medication home delivery service was launched in April 2020 as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, limiting patient visits to health centers and keeping community members at home to curb the spread of the virus. It was announced recently that more than 400,000 medication deliveries have been made to HMC patients and around 200,000 to PHCC patients using the service.
All Qatar Post drivers are adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and have been specially trained to handle medications, including those that require refrigeration and special handling.
To access the HMC medication home delivery service, patients should call 16000 between 8 am to 2 pm daily from Sunday to Thursday.
To access the PHCC medication home delivery service, patients can call the assigned medication home delivery service number for their health center or 16000 for more information.
For the PHCC medication home delivery service, patients can send a message to the WhatsApp number assigned to their health center at this link available on the PHCC website.
HMC and PHCC patients must have a valid health card, a card to pay for the medications and delivery fee as well as know their home address— number, zone, and street.
