According to expert astronomical estimates, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan will fall on Saturday, March 1, 2025, according to a statement released by the Qatar Calendar House in collaboration with the Al-Ajari Scientific Center in Kuwait.
As to a joint statement released by the Qatar Calendar House and Al-Ajari Scientific Center, the sighting of this year's crescent moon is scheduled for Friday, February 28 at 3:45 a.m. Doha and Kuwait time.
According to the announcement, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' Crescent Sighting Committee still has the last say over when the holy month of Ramadan will begin.
