The General Authority of Customs celebrated International Customs Day yesterday, which is marked annually on Jan 26, through organising a series of various events. This year the celebrations come under the theme ‘promoting a culture of knowledge-sharing and professional pride in Customs'.
The events will include a visual presentation on the most prominent achievements of the authority during 2022, the most significant development projects implemented within its role in facilitating customs clearance procedures, and presenting the latest customs data statistics that have been completed at all ports.
The authority will honour its distinguished employees, including customs inspectors who made eminent seizures, graduates of customs officials who hold a Bachelor in Border Management and graduates who hold an Associate of Applied Sciences with a specialisation in Customs Management from the Community College of Qatar (CCQ), in addition to partner and cooperating governmental and private agencies.
